Dry/Sensitive/Mature Skin

We’ve combined two mild clays, Australian Pink Clay and Kaolin Clay, with rose petals and rosehip to give you the ultimate in a gentle clay mask. Perfect for balancing sensitive and dry skin.

This mask comes in dry form, all you have to do is add water.
Why dry?
– It eliminates the need for preservatives or chemicals. Our dry masks are 100% natural.
– You get to choose how thick or thin you like it.
– If you’re feeling adventurous you can customise it to suit your needs …  Instead of water, add milk, yoghurt, aloe vera juice or rose floral water.

Scent:   Natural (unscented)
Weight:   150g
Ingredients:   Australian Pink Clay, Rose Petals, Kaolin Clay, Oats, Manuka Honey Powder, Rosehip Powder

Directions: Mix about two teaspoons of clay mask with enough water to form a paste that’s easy to spread over your face. Apply evenly over clean skin avoiding the eye area. Leave on for about 5 to 10 minutes – don’t allow the mask to fully dry on your skin. Rinse off with warm water. Makes 15-20 masks.

Ceramic bowl not included.

Tip 1:  Unlike other masks, you should never let a clay mask fully dry on your skin. This is because it can draw moisture from the skin, causing dehydration and irritation. There are three phases that a clay mask goes through – damp, drying and dry. With the damp phase, your skin drinks in the beneficial minerals from the outside. Then you have the start of the dry phase, which exercises your capillaries and stimulates blood flow as the mask cools and contracts. But then there’s the dry phase, which draws out moisture from the surface of your skin, causing possible dehydration and irritation. So don’t allow your clay mask to reach this “dry” phase.

Tip 2:   Clay should never be mixed with metal spoons or in metal bowls. Clay absorbs metal, which is great when it’s on your skin, but mixing or storing with metal will make it less effective.
