Okay, to begin with, I should clarify that ‘us’ is really just me.  I’m Vickie and I make the soap by myself in small batches. By hand. With care. I also make the body products – again, by hand and in small batches.

Before each batch of soap is made, it’s very carefully planned and researched. This can take several days, but it’s something that is absolutely necessary to ensure that every single batch of soap has the right balance of oils, butters and liquids and is safe for you to use.

I only use quality ingredients like fresh goat milk, pure olive oil, coconut oil, sweet almond oil (plus more) and then enhance these oils with botanical extracts, cocoa butter, shea butter and other luxury ingredients. Each bar of soap has a complete list of every single ingredient that went into the making of it. Nothing is hidden.

The colours I use are both natural and synthetic, because I like both. Natural colours are beautiful and earthy, but sometimes it’s nice to add some bright and fun colours too. Rest assured that all the colours used are skin safe and comply with Australian regulations, which regard soap as a “cosmetic product”. This means the colour used should not be of a technical, industrial or commercial grade, but of a cosmetic standard.

Fragrance.  Magic!  This would have to be the best part about making soap, working with all those beautiful essential and fragrance oils. Again, I ensure that all the essential and fragrance oils I use comply with the regulatory authorities:  the global RIFM (Research Institute for Fragrance Materials) and IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards.

Because each and every bar of soap is cut and finished by hand, there are slight variations in colour and shape. No two bars are ever the same, even when they come from the same batch.

And then it all comes together to form a beautiful, mild, smooth, skin-loving soap.  Gently cleansing.  Deeply moisturising.  Richly lathering.  Very, very nice.
